EV training

Effort Values (EVs) are hidden stats your Pokémon gain by defeating others. Each Pokémon can hold up to 510 EVs total, capped at 255 per stat. Every 4 EVs in a stat add 1 point to it at level 100. To farm a specific stat, fight Pokémon that yield EVs in that stat - pick a target below and use the encounter table to find them.

Tip: to maximize EV gains while keeping your trainee underleveled, give the Exp. Share to another party member so the trainee receives less XP per kill, or knock out the wild Pokémon with a higher-level partner and the trainee still gets the EVs.
